Hey friends,
I’m switching things up for this week’s Spill. Let me know what you think! I want this newsletter to feel more like a conversation, not just me talking at you.
Instead of Spilled Ink, Tea, or Secrets, I’m sharing the latest highs, lows, inspirations, and maybe a fun conspiracy or two (because who can resist a good rabbit hole!)
But most important…I want to hear from you! What you’re reading, what you look for in a book, your latest obsessions, everything. Don’t hesitate to leave a comment; I’d love to chat. Let’s make this our space.
Writing, Life, and Everything In Between!
It’s been a wild week (when isn’t it?) Between writing milestones and life’s curveballs, I’m barely keeping up! I’m sure many of you can relate, but when has a little chaos ever slowed us down?
Tangled ARCs Are Here!
First up, Tangled is officially DONE and ready to debut on 4.29.25. And let me tell you, love doesn't even come close to describing how I feel about this book. I thought I couldn't love Woven more, but Tangled is next-level. The tension, the humor, the depth... I’m actually proud of my characters for being more capable than I ever imagined (lol)! I can't wait for you to meet or catch up with them and see how they’ve grown (or not grown, in Josh’s case).
If you signed up for an ARC, THANK YOU! It’s coming to your inbox shortly, and I am thrilled to get this book in your hands. If you’re just hearing about it now and want a free, advanced review copy, it’s not too late. Plus, all ARC readers will be entered to win a signed paperback of Tangled. I mean, who doesn’t love free books and swag?! 💕
Woven is Now on Kindle Unlimited!
Big news for anyone who subscribes to Kindle Unlimited: Woven is officially on KU! If you have a KU membership, now's the time to dive in, totally free. I’m hoping this will bring more readers to the series and spread the word. And if you haven’t read Woven yet, what are you waiting for? Share the love and spread the word. 😍
Speaking of sharing, reviews really help. If you’ve read Woven, I’d be super grateful if you took a moment to leave a review or rating on Amazon and Goodreads. It means more than you know and helps get the book to new readers. Thanks a ton…you rock!
Life Update
Now, on a more personal note, it’s been a bit of a rough week. We've been hit with sickness, allergies, and tooth extractions (yes, that was me 😅), but there’s been some good stuff too—sunny days, warmer weather, and a much-needed brunch with a friend who also loves books and writing (seriously, is there anything better?) Big shout out to @brazenbookwyrm and the team behind Charm City Romanticon. If you're a romance fan, this is THE place to be!
Tangled Launch Week Event 5.3.25 — Save the Date!
And last but certainly not least, I’ve got some super exciting news... I’m heading back to the place where it all began, Barnes & Noble at the Columbia Mall, for a Tangled launch week event on Saturday, May 3rd! This store holds a special place in my heart since I grew up in Columbia, and we had such a great time there celebrating Woven’s launch. I can’t wait to be back! Mark your calendars and come celebrate with me. 💖

Just for Fun
Let’s talk about what’s been keeping us curious and inspired this week! Here’s a peek at what’s been fueling my days (aside from copious amounts of coffee, of course):
🎶 Earworm of the Week: It’s a tie between More To This (Marc Scibilia) and Look After You (The Fray). Who knows why certain songs get stuck on repeat, but these two have been on a constant loop for me. I’m sure I’ll move on, but for now, they’re my soundtrack. Anyone else obsessed with The Fray? And More To This, it’s a little sad, but definitely one of those songs that gets you thinking. What’s been playing in your head lately?
🎧 Podcast Vibes: Yes, I’m a Podcast junky. Ask me my favorite, and I’ll give you ten…but I can’t recommend True Sunlight highly enough. Originally named the Murdaugh Murders Podcast, investigative journalists Mandy Matney and Liz Farrell use their platform to cover suspicious deaths all over the low country and beyond. They have great insight and some groundbreaking revelations. Check them out!
📚 Book I'm Reading: I just finished The Last Guy on Earth by Sarina Bowen (total Audible addict here). I’m a huge Sarina Bowen fan and an even bigger Teddy Hamilton fan. Seriously, I dare you to find a better male narrator. If you’re into hockey players, steamy hookups, and second chances, this one’s for you. It’s a fun, easy listen with an ending that satisfies. What’s on your reading or listening list? Drop your recommendations in the comments. I’m always looking for something new!
🐇 Rabbit Holes: Thinking of dipping your toe into the pool of conspiracy theories? Chaos: Charles Manson, the CIA, and the Secret History of the Sixties, by Tom O’Neill, is a great place to start. It’s an eye-opening dive into the Manson murders, the CIA, and the dark underbelly of the ‘60s (I’m on my 3rd read-through). It’ll have you questioning everything. What’s the wildest theory you’ve come across?
💬 Quote of the Week: “God is a comedian preaching to an audience too afraid to laugh.” Often attributed to Voltaire, this one’s been on my mind all week. I feel like it speaks to the balance between taking life too seriously and learning to let go. Between savoring the present moment and keeping an eternal perspective. What do you think? How do you navigate the tension between faith, concern, and life’s distractions?
😂 Meme of the Week: From Good Dog Good Life, I thought this was fitting and brought back memories of endless Goodnight Moon readings at bedtime. Anyone else? I’m pretty sure I can quote the entire book from memory!
Hope you enjoyed this little peek into the dusty corners of my mind. I’d love to hear what interests you! Feel free to reach out with thoughts, suggestions, or just to say hi.
